The Exhibition Celebrating the Big Anniversary

Assignment:

Implementation of an exhibition to mark the 100th anniversary of Baugenossenschaft Dormagen eG.

Challenge / Goal:

Concept development for an exhibition featuring various narrative formats that tell the story of Baugenossenschaft Dormagen eG.

Implementation / Outcome:

Implementation of the exhibition as part of the communication strategy for the 100th anniversary of Baugenossenschaft Dormagen eG. Alongside the landing page developed specifically for the anniversary, the exhibition was used as an additional medium of communication. While the landing page provides a digital means of engaging with members, tenants, and the public, the exhibition serves as a physical space that recounts the development of the cooperative over the past decades.
At the same time, the exhibition serves as a meeting place and a space for interaction, where different people can come together and exchange ideas. The exhibition is located at the cooperative’s headquarters and opened on 19 March 2026. It features a series of display panels presenting the history of BGD in chronological order. Topics included BGD’s founding years, the period of National Socialism, post-war reconstruction, the period of economic growth, as well as perspectives for the future.
The exhibition also features eyewitness accounts in which tenants, members, and people closely associated with the cooperative over the years share their special connection with BGD. In addition to the exhibition at BGD’s headquarters, a second, more compact exhibition was presented at the Diakonie. This version was specially adapted and condensed into a shorter, clearly structured format.
