Assignment:

Relaunch of the website for the new “Stadtquartier Dormagen-Horrem”, with a special focus on the topics of sustainable construction and integrated neighborhood development. The entire urban development process is presented in a transparent and accessible way, covering the competition and its announcement as well as the planning, design, and timeline of the new district.

Challenge/GOAL:

Development of a new conceptual guiding idea and content strategy for the website, with a focus on the architectural designs, concepts, and project timelines. Based on this, the website was redesigned both in terms of content and visuals to effectively address the target audiences of the large-scale project.

Implementation / Outcome:

Content and visual redesign of the website to create a dynamic and interactive user experience. The five thematic areas of economy, ecology, social space, mobility, and energy were integrated into the new section “sustainable construction.” The phases of the urban planning competition, citizen survey, concept development, and overall project progress are presented in detail. A digital timeline showcases the milestones achieved so far, while an FAQ summarizes the key aspects and objectives of the large-scale project. In the news section, users find current press releases and articles related to the Dormagen-Horrem urban district.
